Vera Chok
Description
Vera (they/she) is an experienced, award-winning voice actor. Credits include dramas for BBC 4 and BBC 3 (Best Debut Performance in an Audio Drama nomination), audiobooks (Audiofile Earphones Award), the videogames Hitman 3 and Total War: Three Kingdoms and Lyra in the game Lightseekers. Together with ink5soul in cult podcast The Magnus Archives a horror fiction anthology podcast.
Vera Chok trained at The Poor School and Ecole Phillippe Gaulier and was most recently on screen as series regular Honour Chen-Williams, head of the first ever East Asian family in a UK continuing drama (Hollyoaks). Elsewhere on screen they can be seen in Chimerica, Chewing Gum, and Fortitude 3 as well as in Dream Agency, a multiple award-winning feature film produced by Forest Fringe which premiered at The Edinburgh International Film Festival.
Theatre includes multiple roles with The National Theatre, Kenneth Branagh’s Theatre Company, West End hits, the national tour of 2:22 – A Ghost Story, and projects with The RSC, Complicite, Bryony Kimmings, Manchester Royal Exchange, and The Royal Court.
Vera teaches improv and has designed training for New Earth Theatre and The Robin Hood International Improv Festival, as well as founded ESEAprov, the UK’s first improv festival for East and South East Asians.
