Michela Ravano
Description
Michela started acting at the age of 15 when she formed a theatre company creating musical parodies. She then went to drama school, graduating at the National Academy of Dramatic Arts in Rome.
Michela has an RP Italian accent but can also work in Roman, Genovese and Milanese accents.
She worked in theatre, cinema, television and as a dubbing artist for several years in Rome, working with top directors such as Andrea Camilleri and Luca Ronconi. Her voice features in many films, including E la nave va and Ginger and Fred by Federico Fellini.
She has been working in the UK since 1992 where, among other things, she starred as an actor in the Italian-language course Italianissimo.
She transferred her dubbing skills to British voiceover and hasn’t stopped working in the UK since.
Her voice is warm, charming, playful, sophisticated and loved by British and international audiences. You can hear her on all major British and Italian TV and radio stations, including commercials for FIAT, Martini, Hyundai, Google, and continuity for BBC, MTV, Cartoon Network and Discovery Channel, as well as radio drama and documentaries. Michela also excels at ADR, lip-sync, museum guides and corporates.
Her first hit in the UK was the Spirito di Punto TV ad. Since then she has featured in many English-language commercials broadcast in the UK for products such as Cinzano, Monsoon, Lavazza and Peroni. Her voice also features in Italian-language commercials in Italy, for products such as Rolex, Nike, Sony, ESSO, and Hyundai. She is currently the voice of the Marriott Convoy Hotel chain TV and media promotion.
