Description
Leo Ashizawa is a Japanese actor and filmmaker based in London, known for his versatile work across screen and stage. His recent screen credits include the Netflix docudrama Einstein and the Bomb (2024), and the Apple TV+ series Monarch: Legacy of Monsters (2023/24). He also featured as Yamazaki in the Amazon Prime spy thriller Citadel (2023), and played Osamu Watanabe in the fantasy series A Discovery of Witches (2018–2022).
In addition to his screen work, Ashizawa continues to perform and create in theatre, including solo and ensemble productions, and recently directed the short film The Town with the Tower, which has been selected for international film festivals.
