Description

Giles has recorded VO for clients including Christie’s, Allainz Bank, Pearsons and his work on the “Smouldering Disease” campaign won Gold Medal at the PM Society Awards.

Giles is one of the UK’s leading storytellers working nationally and internationally for clients like British Museum, Globe Theatre, for schools, clubs and festivals nationwide. He has toured in India twice for the British Council. In 2023 he created a storytelling version of Macbeth for Theatr Globe, Neuss, Germany which is now touring. An actor, Giles created the role of the Tinker in Olivia Foan’s new play “The Tinker” at Vault Festival 2023.

A writer, Giles has created storytelling shows from historical characters (AO Hume, RF Burton, Alexander Pope) and from numerous traditional sources (British, Norse, Greek/Roman, more). In 2012, as part of the Disability Olympiad, Cymru, Giles created the narrative concept, wrote and recorded text for “Breaking The Wall”, composed by Lloyd Coleman and recorded by BBC Wales Symphonia.

Giles was registered blind in 2000 but, since 2012 and thanks to new technology, he can now read and record as fluently as he ever did.
