Aurie Styla is an award-winning comedian, actor and writer from London. He has strongly established himself as a powerhouse of presence & humour, making him one of the most charismatic & versatile performers in the UK.
Aurie has appeared on ‘Richard Osman’s House Of Games’ (BBC) ‘Deep Fake Neighbour Wars’ (ITVX), ‘Comedy Central Live’, ‘Jonathan Ross’ Comedy Club’ (ITV), ‘Life’s A Pitch’ (Sky), ‘Don’t Hate The Playaz’ (ITV), multiple seasons of ‘The Stand-Up Sketch Show’ (ITV2), ‘Mo Gilligan’s Black British & Funny’ (C4), ‘The Apprentice, You’re Fired’ (BBC) & more. Along with these appearances, Aurie was a writer on the Bafta Award-winning season of ‘The Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan.’
Aurie’s distinctive voice is also heard on a wide range of media channels and commercials, as an accomplished voice actor. He is the worldwide voice of Pintrest, whilst also lending his voice for companies such as eBay, Wagamama, Cinch, Fifa, Audible, BBC, C4 and much more.
As a broadcaster, Aurie was the host of ‘The Scene’ on BBC Radio London, and also regularly contributes to other radio format shows such as ‘The Now Show’ (Radio 4), ‘NewsJack’ (Radio 4), ‘You’re Part Of The problem’ and BBC 1Xtra, as well as several podcast appearances, including his own ‘Respectfully… Podcast.’
In 2024, Aurie has delivered his commissioned four-part BBC Radio 4 comedy special, “Aurie Styla’s Tech Talk,” a comedic deep dive into his love for technology over the years, and into the future. This airs every Wednesday in April, and is available to listen to on BBC Sounds.
Currently, Aurie regularly performs comedy around the world, with recurring appearances in UK, Europe, Canada, USA & the UAE. Uniquely, he has also sold out 4 self-produced comedy special tours, and 8 mixed-bill UK wide tours, under his company ComedyMania Productions Ltd, selling over 18,000 tickets to date, off his own back. His latest comedy special, The Aurator, is currently touring worldwide, with over 70 dates, across 3 continents, in association with Live Nation. He has over 400K followers across all platforms and that number is constantly growing.
Aurie is no stranger to the big screen, as he can be seen as the lead character, Billy Pitcher in the 2022 British comedy ‘On The Other Foot’ and the co-lead in the 2019 horror-comedy ‘The Living Dead,’ both of which can be seen on Amazon Prime.
His last comedy special ‘GREEN’ was critically acclaimed, and won the Spirit of the (Edinburgh) Fringe Award for 2022, and is available to watch on YouTube.
In his free time, Aurie is an avid gamer, movie buff and nostalgia fiend, in that he likes to invest in retro 80s, 90s and 00s merchandise and memorabilia. He also stays active in fitness as much as possible, with skiing, swimming & quad roller skating, for which he is one of the ambassadors and regular hosts at the renowned Flippers Roller Boogie Palace, in London.
