William Gaminara was born in Lusaka, Zambia, in 1956. He graduated from Oxford University with a degree in Languages and has been acting and writing in all media ever since. On radio he is best known for playing Dr Richard Locke in The Archers for over 22 years and on television as Professor Leo Dalton in Silent Witness for eleven series. Other TV work includes Spooks, People like Us, Hope and Glory, and Attachments.
