Sam hails from Essex and graduated from The Bristol Old Vic Theatre School where he was winner of the Laurence Olivier Bursary. He is known for his regular roles of Jason in BBC2’s BAFTA winning comedy Mum and Kevin Russell in ITV’s Fearless. Other television work includes Call the Midwife, Atlantis, Harley Street and Jekyll. Sam’s film credits include Thor 2: The Dark World for MARVEL and The Cannibal In The Jungle for Animal Planet. Theatre credits include A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Privates on Parade for the Michael Grandage Company in the West End, The Taming of the Shrew for the RSC, The Meeting at the Hampstead Theatre, When Did You Last See My Mother? at the Trafalgar Studios, The Comedy of Errors, Richard III, The Merchant of Venice and A Midsummer Night’s Dream for Ed Hall’s Propeller Company, Hay Fever at the Rose Kingston, A Day at the Racists at the Finborough Theatre, The Burial at Thebes at Nottingham Playhouse, Hysteria at the Birmingham REP and SLOPE at the Tramway in Glasgow.
